Careful restoration over the last decade has made it a top tourist destination, as well as a terrific place to search out great wine, both red and white. Flora and fauna conservation is a priority as well. This muscular, yet supple Cabernet was born from the premium slopes of Stellenbosch, a region recognised as the ‘kingdom of Cabernet’. 16 months ageing in 30% new oak barrels has softened the tannins, adding delicious smoky notes. Enjoy this full-bodied, yet elegant red with a rich veggie casserole, stewed meats or simply a large glass and good book.
