Gavi is a buzzword among lovers of Italian whites, and the mineral, citrus crispness of Bruno Broglia is exceptionally fine.
Records show the estate’s Piedmont vineyards date from AD 972. Originally called La Meirana, the property was purchased by textile entrepreneur Bruno Broglia in 1972. The family's vineyards lie in the Classico part of the region, where the hand-harvested Cortese vineyards enjoy ‘best of the best’ Gavi di Gavi status.
Their wines regularly score 90 points or more, and three bicchieri (top rating) from Italy’s leading wine guide, Gambero Rosso, and they are previous winners of the prestigious IWC Italian White Wine Trophy.
From their oldest, 70-year-old vines in La Meiranna, Bruno Broglia Gavi di Gavi is their top release. Long aged on its lees, this elegant white has a honeyed, creamy edge to the delicate pear, peach and citrus fruit. Enjoy with antipasti, white fish or herby chicken.
