The vineyards lie just beyond the Châteauneuf-du-Pape boundary, sharing the same galet-strewn soils that give structure and depth. The 2023 vintage offers generous black cherry and plum fruit layered with garrigue herbs, pepper and a hint of liquorice. Predominantly Grenache with Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault, it balances richness with freshness and fine tannins.
Critics consistently award Coudoulet mid-90s scores, praising its “purity and precision” and its ability to age gracefully. A superb southern Rhône red with pedigree and polish – perfect for roast lamb, game or hearty Mediterranean dishes.
