Flavour Profile
A bright, creamy and elegant white wine, Les 8 Climats comes from a small family estate on the edge of Puligny-Montrachet with a well-deserved reputation for crafting elegant white Burgundy.
Alain Chavy is renowned for his superb, long-lived white Burgundies. He worked with his father Gérard and his brother Jean-Louis until 2003, when he decided to set up on his own. Now he has 7 hectares of superbly situated vineyards, mostly in Puligny-Montrachet, with a few in top plots of Chassagne and Meursault. These are all worked sustainably. He has also boasts the deepest underground cellar in Puligny at six meters deep!
Made with grapes from eight separate vineyards within Puligny-Montrachet, Les 8 Climats offers delicate aromas of white flowers, lemon zest and toasted almonds. The palate is filled with flavours of ripe orchard fruits, creamy vanilla and elegant hints of minerality. Delightful by itself, it is also a great pairing for seafood dishes, herby roast chicken or creamy cheeses.
