Dönnhoff Tonschiefer Dry Slate Riesling 2024

Dönnhoff is one of the finest, most exciting family estates of Germany's Nahe. Dating back to 1750, it was headed up until recently by the founder's grandson Helmut Dönnhoff. Helmut’s son, Cornelius, is now winemaker and has "bottled probably the best wine series in the history of the domaine" said Wine Advocate's Stephen Reinhardt. The family is proud to own some of the best vineyards in all Nahe.
'Tonschiefer' means clay-slate, and that’s exactly what defines this dry, single-vineyard Riesling. The 2024 vintage hums with precision – lime, white peach and citrus blossom glide over a racy mineral core. There’s a fine, saline texture and a long, clean finish. If you love your white wines dry, crisp and full of character, this one delivers in spades.
