Look beyond Italy’s most famous grapes and you’ll find a plethora of unique varieties that produce deliciously fresh white wines. A delicious example of this is Greco di Tufo Cutizzi – an intense, aromatic white wine from the heart of Campania.
It’s from Feudi di San Gregorio in Irpinia, an award-winning winery dedicated to championing the region’s lesser-known grapes – Fiano, Falanghina, Aglianico and Greco di Tufo.
One of Italy’s most characterful grapes, Greco can trace its roots back to ancient Rome and some of the finest examples come from around the village of Tufo. There are only 600 hectares of Greco di Tufo vines, making it one of Italy’s smallest DOCGs.
Greco di Tufo Cutizzi is made with grapes from a single vineyard and captures the intensely aromatic, fruity character of this ancient grape. It’s brimming with green plum and juicy pear fruit and herbal, balsamic hints that make it an ideal partner for ceviche, grilled seabass or mozzarella di buffalo.
