California’s Napa Valley has long been known for its world-class Cabernets but the new kids on the block are Napa’s smart Sauvignon Blancs. Plantings are up a huge 40% since 2000. And as with Napa’s famous reds, these refined, luxury Sauvignons don’t come cheap. Coined ‘Super Sauvignons’, expect to pay $80-$100 a bottle for the best.
Luckily, we’ve got our hands on one for a fraction of that price. From one of Napa’s famous names (we can’t say who), Illustrious Sauvignon Blanc showcases the stunning fruit purity and finesse of Napa’s finest whites.
With vibrant aromas of zesty lime and grapefruit, and a crisp mineral finish, it’s the perfect partner to seafood or lemon herb-roasted chicken.
