It has 95 hectares across the region’s top villages – and this red wine is from their steep, 50-year-old Fleurie vineyard. Dominique was the 14th generation to run the family’s historic 16th-century estate. With no heirs to pass it onto, he teamed up with his old friend Julien Revillon. Their vision is to make Beaujolais as fine as any cru Burgundy – they go to great lengths to do so. Expect ripe cherry and blackberry aromas, with juicy red fruit and a lovely roundness.
