Flavour Profile
Fine red Burgundy doesn’t have to break the bank and Vignerons de Buxy Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise Pinot Noir is a deliciously appealing example.
Cave Vignerons de Buxy is a world-renowned cellar, proudly making the great wines of southern Burgundy. They were founded over 90 years ago in Buxy, focusing originally on the Chalonnaise region, before expanding into the Mâconnais in 1977.
120 growers tend their family vineyards, supplying the cooperative with their much-cosseted grapes and the result is superb quality Burgundy at surprisingly affordable prices.
This Pinot Noir offers expressive red fruits with hints of smoke and damp earth. Its freshness and gentle tannins give the wine structure and longevity. A fine red with duck, lamb or beef fillet served with wild mushrooms.
